This instrument has a Sitka spruce top and back and sides of quartersawn oak harvested from a log in a local quarry. (<a href=\"http:\/\/jsevy.com\/wordpress\/index.php\/chainsaw-lutherie\/\">The process of going from log to tonewood is described in another article.<\/a>) The binding is curly maple and the headstock veneer is curly oak.
